The Hunting Lodge Graf Recke, built in 1926 in the mansion style at one of the most
beautiful sites of the Oberpinzgau, was originally used by the family of the Counts
von der Recke for Alpine hunting. Since 1893 this family, hailing from Silesia,
continuously owned the shooting rights in today’s Natural-Park "Hohe Tauern" at
the "Gross-Venediger". Numerous trophies of chamois, caper-cailzie and red deer,
Church-windows with the "Hubertus-Cross", stories and anecdotes of famous hunting
guests, which are still being told today by the natives, are living remnants of the
high time of hunting. This lodge at present is run by the descendants who are always
ready to meet your wishes and you will enjoy that certain atmosphere of privacy and
hospitality. The old tradition of the lodge is harmoniously combined with modern comfort,
so that a stay amid the majestic mountains is a rare experience indeed.
Summer: Heated swimming pool (illuminated at night) - nature park - sunning lawns - table tennis - easy footpaths and romantic climbs in the National Park - alpine hunting - trout fishing - tennis - riding (3km) - car excursions (Großglockner Hoch alpenstraße) - socials and dances.
Winter: 30 chairlifts and ski-lift systems reach 3 skiing areas between 4800 and 6500 ft, with snow guaranteed far beyond Easter. 25 miles cross-country slopes near the house. Ski rental. Any number of easy footpaths - toboggan runs - horse riding - horse sleighriding - curling.
Located in one of the most idyllic parts of the "Oberpinzgau" this hunting lodge has been turned into a pleasant hotel with the perfect blend of tradition and comfort, with rooms overlooking the countryside and spectacular views of the mountains.

Das JAGDSCHLOSS GRAF RECKE, 1926 im Herrenhaus-Stil in einer der schönsten Lagen
des Oberpinzgaues errichtet, diente ursprünglich der Familie der Grafen von der Recke
als fester Stützpunkt für die Ausübung der Hochgebirgsjagd. Dieses aus
Schlesien stammende Geschlecht besaß schon seit dem Jahre 1893 die ständigen
Jagdrechte in dem heutigen Naturschutzpark „Hohe Tauern” am Großvenediger.
Zahlreiche Trophäen von Gams-, Auer- und Rotwild, Kirchenfenster mit dem Hubertus-Kreuz,
Geschichten und Anekdoten von prominenten Jagdgästen, die man sich noch heute unter
den Einheimischen erzählt, sind lebendige Zeugen der hohen Zeit der Jägerei.
Gastlich und voll persönlicher Atmosphäre, stets offen für die Wünsche
seiner Gäste, wird dieses Haus heute von den Nachkommen weiter geführt. Die alte
Tradition des Hauses wurde glücklich mit zeitgemäßem Komfort verbunden,
so daß ein Aufenthalt inmitten der majestätischen Bergwelt, voll behaglicher
Atmosphäre zu einem besonderen Erlebnis wird.
Sommer: Geheiztes und abends erleuchtetes Schwimmbad - Natur-park - Liegewiese - Tischtennis - bequeme Spazierwege und romantische Steige - Hochgebirgsjagd - Forellenfischerei - Tennis - Reitschule (3 km) - Autotouren (Großglockner Hoch alpenstraße) - Tanz und Geselligkeit - Wanderprogramme.
Winter: Über 30 Seilbahn- und Lift-anlagen (3km vom Haus) erschließen drei bis weit nach Ostern schneesichere Skiregionen zwischen 1600-2200m. (Gerlosplatte, Königsleiten, Wildkogel/Neukirchen) - Skischule, Skikindergarten, Skiverleih. Hotel transfer - 45 km Langlaufloipen in Hausnähe - Wanderwege - Rodeln - Pferdeschlittenfahrten - Eisschießen - Sonderprogramme.
