From the reception lobby, lifts descend to the lush sub-tropical gardens; an oasis of calm and colour where waterfalls splash peacefully into rock-girt swimming-pools and the crystal clear waters of the small sandy beach afford safe swimming.
No two of its spacious bedrooms and suites are alike; each has its own charm, individual in decor and disposition, with private bathroom, balcony or terrace, radio, minibar, telephone, air conditioning, and central heating.
Sporting facilities include a heated pool, two tennis courts, squash, crazy golf, table

From April to October exotic cocktails can be enjoyed on the terraces at the bar by the sea, where the restaurant serves breakfast and a superb buffet lunch.
The main building abounds in lounges and cosy corners, whose antique furniture, beautiful paintings and precious porcelain create the atmosphere of a medieval castle. A full English buffet breakfast awaits in the winter-garden conservatory. In the elegant restaurant an attentive staff serves delicious dishes for lunch and dinner.

"The hotel Bon Sol is superb for a quiet relaxing holiday .... It is also a very good base
if you want to explore the island as Palma is only 20 mins away by taxi and it's really

a big business hotel) and Lorraine & Martin (the owners) usually have breakfast and/or dinner
in the restaurants. The food is great with plenty of choice and it is very well

the "team" at the Bon Sol spoil me rotten every time we go - I've never been to

Ici, entre les pins et la mer, au milieu de jardins perpétuellement fleuris, se dressent de magnifiques terrasses offrant
un panorama éblouissant sur la baie de Palma. Il y a là un panache architectural à faire pâlir d’envie beaucoup de confrères
hôteliers. Partout dans cette grande maison vous trouverez des armures étonnantes, de belles peintures des Grands d'Espagne
et de somptueux coffres débarqués voici longtemps de ces fameux galions. Les vastes chambres sont richement meublées
dans le beau style castillan et, très en contrebas près de la petite plage, un séduisant ensemble de petites maisons
blanches noyées dans une luxuriante végétation vous assurera un silence total.
Si la clientèle d’habitués se trouve être majoritairement Britannique, sachez cependant que vous ne serez pas « oubliés » car tout est fait ici pour que le séjour soit parfait, accueil y compris. Votre séjour balnéaire ne saurait vous faire oublier que la toute proche capitale de l’île possède quelques trésors comme le Palais de La Almudaina et ses jardins ou surtout la flamboyante Cathédrale gothique orientée vers la mer dont la construction débuta vers 1230 après que le roi catalan Jaume 1er d’Aragon eût enfin mis un terme à la domination musulmane.
Il vous restera aussi à découvrir de nombreux autres aspects de cette île restée malgré tout encore magique où les oliviers millénaires, les figuiers, les amandiers ainsi que les ânes, les chèvres et des moutons par milliers ont des collines pour eux tous seuls. Alors ne manquez pas cette petite route, difficile mais ô combien romantique, qui serpente à travers la Sierra de Tramuntana pour vous mener admirer la beauté sauvage du Cap Formentor.
Si l’envie vous en dit, vous pourrez éventuellement visiter Valldemossa pour sa Chartreuse, devenue malheureusement bien trop touristique, et qui abrita tout un temps les amours clandestines de Sand et Chopin.
A proximité, sur cette même route de Soller, se trouve également le domaine de Son Marroig. Ce « Bien National » est devenu aujourd’hui un étonnant Musée où se déroulent diverses cérémonies ainsi que le Festival de Musique, après avoir été la luxueuse résidence que s’était fait construire Louis-Salvador de Habsbourg-Lorraine. L’Archiduc, assoiffé de voyages et de culture, organisait déjà de brillants concerts dans les prestigieux salons où il recevait souvent sa célèbre cousine Sissi, Impératrice d’Autriche.

“ Heel anders is het natuurlijk om in of bij Palma te logeren. Maar Ses Illetes, dat we uitkozen, is een keurig onderhouden kustplaatsje, zonder de goedkope costa-sfeer die je elders wel eens aantreft op het eiland. De eigenaars van het hotel BON SOL moeten wel erg van de middeleeuwen gehouden hebben, want het oude hoofdgebouw is wat duister met z'n natuursteen, harnassen, wandtapijten en dergelijke. U zult echter verrast zijn door de lichte kamers met uitzicht over zee en kust, terwijl de nieuwe aanbouw aan de overkant van de straat ook veel moderner aandoet. Hier daalt u met een lift maar liefst zeven verdiepingen af naar enkele zwembassins en naar de zee. Er wordt gezonnebaad op ligstoelen en 's middags geniet iedereen van een uitzonderlijk gevarieerd lunch-buffet.
“ Het voor de hand liggende uitstapje is uiteraard naar Palma. U start best bij de kathedraal, gebouwd op
de plaats waar ooit de voornaamste moskee stond tijdens de vijf eeuwen Moorse overheersing. Men bouwde
aan de Kathedraal van 1230 tot de vorige eeuw in feite, toen de beroemde Antonio Gaudí er de laatste
hand aan legde. Maar wandel ook rond in de wijk achter de Kathedraal, waar eenvoudig niets lelijks te
vinden is en uitsluitend architecturale schoonheid. Als u de bordjes 'Banys Arabs' naar het Arabische
badhuis uit de 10de eeuw volgt, komt u precies waar we u hebben willen...”
