The ability to drive directly to the Prinsenhof Hotel and park there without having to find a public car park in Bruges is not just useful for arrival and departure, but also for making trips outside of Bruges while staying at the hotel. The main parking area is not covered, but is securely closed from the Bruges streets by a large iron gate, which may be opened and closed using the remote control system.
